It doesnt work anymore

I've had no problems playing this before now it says my rockstar account has an "activation error my social club account is not entitled to RDR2". It also says "out of memory please reboot" NEVER had this issue until today. I've done nothing different just tried to boot the game

What is your issue? I can almost guarantee it's on his end i"m over 3000 hours & still going strong, Actually 3092.3 hours, Sounds to me 1 of your memory sticks went kaput, RDR 2 is memory inclined , the same as graphics etc. just like Mafia 3 & Watchdogs 2, Something I came across about the memory, If anything try process of elimination

It's the only game I've ever had this issue with. After googling this it seems like a semi widespread issue. It's mostly the basically the telling me I don't own it part. Also as stated I've done nothing different. There's absolutely nothing wrong with any of my PC components as I've checked everything and do regularly to make sure everything is always working properly. I've already beaten this game years ago on console. It's whatever at this point pretty sure I only paid like $10 bucks for it awhile back. Not really a loss

YOU JINXED ME, after 3,136.5 hours playing, it quit as soon as I get the R symbol but says on steam it's still running ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Was all fine, till the GTA6 second trailer just came out...
now game wont start, outside offline mode...

This game will not start with HDR on Linux for like 2 months now. Their stupid launcher makes everything worse.

If I pirated the game right now it would work fine. I cannot play the version I bought because of the launcher. Rockstar can go F themselves.

Then Rockstar Social Club is your culprit, it's either your name or password, I can log on every time i want to play, 1 of the easiest ways to avoid it is to have it on saved

It randomly started working again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rockstar launcher is ridiculous. One moment it says I don't own it or don't have permissions to play it however it was worded. then it works again. I literally bought it. I definitely have permission to play it
