RDR2 (RDO) Roleplay Servers

After first buying RDR2, I started playing RDO and looked into checking out some RP server - but they all seemed to have prohibitively extensive entry requirements involving submitting characters for evaluation, interviews, discord stuff, etc, and after several rejections I gave up.

Fast forward years later and I've discovered people who make a living trolling RDO RP on Youtube. This discovery made me realize how weird RDO RP appears to be. Most of these servers seem to be populated by people who don't even know how to play the game, and just spend all their time hanging around in blobs, AFK, with anachronistic outfits, attitudes, and politics.

When someone actually role-playing a character shows up they hogtie, shoot, imprison, and ban them. What's crazier is that all the events they seem to have in these servers are entirely scripted, so they're all basically NPCs that break down when someone goes off-script. In one case, a bank robber asked permission from the sheriff to shoot an unruly hostage, and afterwards the sheriff, put the hostage in jail!

Has anyone had any experience in RDO RP?
