red dead redeption not launching
can someone tell me how to fix the game not launching. It says it is running in in the steam app and rockstar launcher. I feel like i have tried everything but with no success. can someone please help me???

I still have that problem but now it has changed and in the social club launcher it tells me that this option is not available

I have the RDR2 but social club tells me that I only have the ONLINE xD

I have been looking for that solution for 6 days, all the solutions they gave me are not working and I even contacted Rockstar Games support but the issue is still not resolved.

Ligma, just to confirm - is yours a prior install that was working before?

I just purchased & installed it. Since I've never actually successfully run the game, am trying to figure out if it's a glitch with my install or if it's just down for everyone right now.

already have updated drivers

My drivers are all updated. It's something weird with permissions, Steam, and the Rockstar Games Launcher, I think. If I manually run the launcher, it doesn't even list RDR2 in my activated games, just RDR Online.

try refunding rdr2, and buying the online version only on steam. see if that fixes the issue. i cant try it because i had the game gifted to me

Open Taskmanager stop RDR2 in the list of processes.
Then launch RDR2 again dont click the launcher twice.

i have owned the game since release, this is the first time its happened, my posse member was glitching too and left suddenly.

I have a brand new system, installed RDR2 fresh - wont start - "Activation Error - social club account is not entitled to red dead redemption 2" .
I jus tbought it and spent all night messing with logins, uninstalls, all to no avail. Everything is up to date. 12700k 32gb of DDR5 , Rog Strix z690 board, etc. But rockstar cant let me start this game.
I cant get support from rockstar cos I cant log in there with this linked account.

I asked steam for a refund. no other option.
