Best PvE Weapons for a bad shot?
What are the best PvE weapons for a bad shot? Anything that relies on hitting the target in the head is probably not good for me.

It turns out that the Semi-Auto Shotgun unlocks at level 42. I'm level 22!

What's best after that?

You were going to have trouble with that semi-auto and the bloom anyway. Stick with the pump-action. So we're talking online at lvl22, get a pump and a bolt action and a lemat.

Blehhhh on the bolt xD I'd say wait until you unlock Carcano before buying a rifle and just use Evans or Lancaster in the meantime. Though Springfield rifle is nice for hunting, wouldn't use it in pve though.

Upgrade the Cattleman <---one of the best sidearms in the game.

Buy a hand cannon when you have lots of money. They're fun, but take way too long to load and the fire rate is pants. The Cattleman is really the only sidearm you really need.

Very true! Cattleman is super under appreciated since it’s the starting revolver, but it is really good and has the highest hip fire accuracy I believe. It’s my second favorite revolver, lemat being my favorite.

You know...:
If you pull just one Cattleman, so you have a free hand, the hammer is 'fanned' and the fire rate is about equal to an MG-42.... I exaggerate a little, but not much.

The Cattleman is the only weapon (I had) that can shoot Archibald before he walks behind that post, then take all 4 for the Gold - in 'Short Walk in a Pretty Town'. I left Micah with squat - my Cattleman ruled the day.

The LeMat couldn't get 'em all.
End of story...lol

I really like dual wielding the double-action revolvers. I found 1 and then later I bought another one and upgraded them both with longer and better barrels. they very deadly when you make x's in your bullets first It's boring to do but it is really worth it if you otherwise only have standard bullets.

I've been experimenting with dual double-actions lately. But I often wonder, well why not just use pistols at that point? I suppose the fact that you can carry twice as much revolver ammo is a bonus. They are fun though and sound cool.

Could someone tell me what pve means?
Scrogdog 10 MAR 2022 a las 9:42 p. m.
Pve = Player Versus Environment

Pvp = Player Versus Player

BTW, I agree with pump-action as the next best shotgun. :)

I like thr pump action shotgun with slugs. If you're very new to the game struggling to get used to the shooting mechanics, double barrel shotgun is a lifesaver until you find something better.

For the same reason you should stick with the Cattlemans - the double action and pistols are 'Pew-Pews'.... underpowered sidearms with nothing going for them except fire rate. It's also a good thing you have more ammo, 'cause you'll have to shoot guys more for them to fall down dead.

I used to buy every pistol I could in pairs - until Rockstar couldn't help themselves, fiddle with my loadout and stick a 'Pew-Pew' in my fist on missions when I'd rather have a Cattleman, or a hand cannon.

Well, Rockstar can't screw with my loadouts if I don't own any weapons - except the ones I was born with - or actually want to carry. Then I get to use the weapons I want - not the ones Rockstar wants me to have.

The pew-pews are a little more fun when you’re good at landing headshots. Also painting an enemy 12 times and watching them get eviscerated is quite satisfying too :tongue_eol:

Historically it would make sense to be a gunslinger with double-action revolvers, because single action revolvers where already outdated in the army by then for at least 5 years or so if the story take place just before 1900. I think doc holiday lived in that time too and he had double action revolvers.
Don;t ask me why I know this, I read way too much stuff in life. I could have remembered it all wrong and tell bs now too lol.
