When I launch the game on Steam, after a few seconds the "running" button on the game page on Steam goes back to "playing" as if I had quit the game. When I try to launch the game on the Rockstar Games Launcher, it's exactly the same. I have no message, no error, just the game does not launch. I have +2600 hours of play on GTA 5/Online and I have never had this problem launching these games, even via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
(Im on Windows 10 with an RTX 3060, Ryzen 7 3800X, 32Gb of ram.)
I tried to update BIOS and downgrade graphic card drive but everything is not working.
The game just shut down it self after Rockstar logo.
Yeah, you and me seem to be suffering the exact same thing, only I discovered it's got something to do with the launcher/game thinking that we're running Windows 7 for some reason. I've tried forcing it to run compatible to the latest OS option Via admin and it still says "Red Dead Redemption doesn't support Windows 7" and simply quits. Before that it would do as you said, just quit without explanation. I'mma keep digging and see if I can still fix this mess..
So I have to format my computer just for this game? it sucks lol anyway thanks
