Spoiler alert
Be in the camp around 9-10 am, save your game and watch Pierson from afar so you don’t accidentally trigger greeting. Wait until you see him lifting a sack and placing it on the table. If he is still doing something else after 10:45 then reload and try again.
Approach him after he starts chopping veggies. When he grabs a bottle start a conversation. Do not interact with him before the bottle. He will ask you for a rabbit. Go shoot one and bring it to him. You will get a unique coat as a reward.
Does the time of day really matter, though? Isn't the sack a part of one of the daily chores? As long as the chore is active, shouldn't he still end up doing it?
Yes, I know this post is over 2 years old, hopefully y'all still remember it.
