For anyone having issue with connecting to the rockstar launcher - use VPN

For anyone who cares enough to read what Rockstar Support told me to do, I post the convo below. I seriously can't be bothered with that anymore, and they literally ignored my questions when do they plan to fix the issue they created, somehow, for a lot of people except me.

Feel free to try those suggestions out, top peak support

1. Hello,

i've been having no issues with Rockstar Launcher or RDR2 Online for so long yet today i cannot seem to open the launcher. Even the browser page of your company does not work at all. Have i been IP banned somehow? Can you please fix this? Everything from my side is working perfectly. The only was to access the launcher or the browser is through low protection VPN set somewhere in Germany but then the RDR2 Online does not work anyway. This shouldnt be necessary to use the product i bought legally. Im expecting solution other that telling me to check drivers, Ive done everything on my side.

Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.

The error message you receive can be caused if the game is unable to communicate with Rockstar Games Online Services. Try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve it:

Check your network connection and Rockstar Games Service availability
Check to make sure your internet connection is working properly
Check the Rockstar Games Service Status for server outages or scheduled maintenance:
https://support.rockstargames.com/servicestatus Check to make sure any firewall you may have configured is not blocking traffic to your system or preventing the application from communicating.

Check your open network ports Red Dead Online requires the following ports to be open:

Port 6672 (UDP)
Port 61455 (UDP)
Port 61457 (UDP)
Port 61456 (UDP)
Port 61458 (UDP)

Performing a Winsock Reset on your system will clear the Winsock Catalog, and can sometimes help with general network related issues for the game.

To run these networking commands in a command prompt window to reset your PC network settings:

In the search box on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes

At the command prompt, run the following commands in the listed order, and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:

Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter
Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter

Reset your network router You can reset your router by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for about 10 minutes. Restart the game client and check to see if your issue is resolved.

3. Ive said in the ticket: Im expecting solution other that telling me to check drivers, Ive done everything on my side.

None of the copy-paste tips you sent me above are working, I've done everything from my part to be sure its not my or my pcs or my internets fault. Telling me to restart router is just ... The fact that i cant even open your site anymore without VPN tells me that its something you've done on your side either: to my account, my IP, or my game and I'm expecting help in this matter. Plus the game was working just fine for about two weeks. The issue only showed yesterday. Do you have other people contacting you with the same issue? Unfortunately, some things can't be done remotely, that's why we need you to cooperate with us in order that solve this problem together. We are sorry for all the inconvenience and wait, we know it must be super frustrating, but please, bear with us and let's see it to the end.

First, we really have to ask you to follow the steps in the guide below. We know it's frustrating, but we need t exclude all possible reasons for the error to appear before we can do anything more. We have no way of remotely doing the steps for you on your router and PC.

www.whatsmyip.org
ipconfig (Windows + R > type "cmd" without quotes > click "OK" > type "ipconfig" without quotes > press "ENTER")

Okay guys I found the solution. Download free app Cloudflare WARP and just turn it on. It changes your DNS adresses. It worked for me, I hope it will help you too!

I had a early issue when i fist downloaded and tried to play Rock Stars games, but I deleted a few free games, add ons, from my PC , and my game worked fine after.

Thanks for posting. I was going to buy but giving it a miss now. In case anyone is looking at Forza 4 in the sales don't. Their support team is ignoring and not fixing game crashing every 15 minutes. You have to check forums on games you're interested in these days because devs don't acknowledge/abandon them so quick these days.

dont buy, crack it. ive tested it first and loved the game, decided to support the company and bought original. 2 weeks in and i already regret it with their lack of support or responsibility towards players. if it werent for the time played id refund it and go back to the good old bottle o' rum
