Is Arthur Morgan the best protagonist of all time?
Or would it be too much of a hyperbole to make such a claim? What do you think?

I also prefer customizing my own villains. And they are better than the default Arthur.

Nothing you create would be better than Arthur. Also this is a story game, not some selfish MMO.

If version 2 is not better than version 1, Rockstar won't make RDR2 nor RDO.
This is the truth, not some self-serving opinion.

"Fixed" characters like Arthur will be forgotten pretty quick, this is the age of character customization where players have more freedom to roleplay whatever toon they chose.

They made RDO for "now make your own cowboy/cowgirl, dump Arthur's nonsense and have your own fun".

No, he's not horrible but dear god i'm getting sick of playing grizzled five o'clock shadow middle aged white dudes who sound like they smoke two packs a day.

So many possible characters to play and we get that one over and over and over....

* Thanks for the jester. Sorry about your fragile ego.

I dont agree with a word you say. No one is going to remember your custom character dude.

No one even cares about your custom character. meanwhile Morgan will go down as one of the most beloved video game characters of all time. That's the hard truth you can deal with.
Story games dont work as well with everyone making up their own crap. That is why custom choices are limited in nearly all good story games.

I didn't make a toon to become memorable, and I have no love for a random bandit with a long and boring story.

How many innocent people did Arthur killed? Why appreciate shetty deeds he has done?
Why being so emotional? The story is all about bloodshed.

You sure love this toy named "Arthur" so much, but eventually, every kids dump their old toys and enjoy new ones. That's when character customization comes to replace your "Arthur".

Rockstar will make another "Arthur" soon enough, trapping some kids in an emotion rollercoaster for money. That's their business.

It's the hard truth.

Opinions aren't objective truth. Too bad so few people seem to understand that these days.

If I had a dime for every time I heard someone say "My VERY SUBJECTIVE OPINION is the OBJECTIVE TRUTH and no one can argue with me!" I'd be a very rich man by now.

"player7112" loves coming back here to try and make people agree with his silly subjective opinions, sadly for him hes in a tiny minority and millions of people love the story mode and Arthur.
He only has himself to blame for being unable to appreciate all the work that's gone into the game, and all the hundreds of hours of work Roger Clark has done in motion capture and emotional voice acting for Arthur.

tommy vercetti will always be my favorite
I know it's a bit of a controversial pick, but I'd have to say BIG CHUNGUS is my favorite video game protagonist. :3
