R* Style Medieval Game?
I think with this idea in mind and having the wide open plains of RDR2 with huge castles and small villages would be absolutely beautiful and the sword play id imagine would be equally so to watch and play. am i the only person who thought they should explore that genre?

Edit: yes ive played kingdom come deliverance, no this is not what im thinking of when i say this. its more like a 3rd person open world game with a story yes but the open bare plains of RDR2 with animals to hunt and less forests. think of RDR2 near valentine, this region is bare with very little tree land, think of partly game of thrones where theres big open areas and then very few castles and villages ontop of hills or mountains. the combat would be like sekiro or ghost of tsushima but more like sekiro but yet a mix between what you see like star wars where they clash and clash again in a epic battle between steel, locking eyes as the audio bursts with cling after cling; sparks fly off of the edges of the swords and then the final blow happens kind of like shadows of mordor kind of finishers. i guess you could think of it like the witcher but without magic and obviously witchers.

A rumor was flying around some years ago about them working on exactly that but it never happened, too bad it could have been something special. New Rockstar is the GTA only company now that's all they will ever do, drop a GTA every 10 years.

I think R Style any game will work as long as it is crafted with quality.

Why? Because people started making GTA clones of all kinds and some of them are very unlike GTA in terms of setting and they work.

Bully is kinda like GTA but about high school.

The base on which Rockstar builds their games is strong. So it could work for anything.

I would personally love to play Rockstar Open World Star Wars game. With flying cars, barren deserts ala Tatooine and big cities like Coruscant. Light sabers, force powers and blasters.

We can only dream.

Oh and. Rockstar needs to make a good mob game. Because Mafia franchise is not doing to well.

However, Rockstar won't make anything good anymore because all key people left and it is a shell of a company it used to be.

If you want a good Medieval game play Kingdom Come Deliverance
a new mafia game was already rumored i think a month or two ago but i doubt itll be any good seeing the last one. but now that you mentioned star wars that would be huge too and more in their ball park seeing how they could just port over the gun mechanics from RDR2 to the blaster system.

none of these are what i described, im talking about a massive open world with green plains with castles and 3rd person. basically RDR2 without guns and a change of era. think of game of thrones kind of level of open plains with very few of castles but yet big ones in the distances ontop of hills and mountain tops. mordhau is multiplayer and focuses on first person combat, skyrim is high fantasy with too much in its open world, KCD is first person and is set in a land of more forests than open plains and takes itself too seriously. im more or less talking about a huge open world like, open plains, the combat is more like fiction where they clash with swords on and on like sekiro kinda does.

ah yes i love swinging my sword every 2 minutes side to side at bad AI who also swings their sword very slowly side to side with no impact at all, also with no open world aspects.

oh you mean ghost of tsushima but in Europe? cuz no kingdoms in America
uhm yeah kinda, actually yeah a story heavy single player that feels as heavy as GOT would be great but set in the era i mentioned would be cool. they could even do a customization thing kind of like the previous games they've done before where you could go to a black smith and they could literally make the armor and weapons in front of you kinda like i guess monster hunter would be the only thing i can think of would be similar to that. also camping would be ideal, whilst camping you can use a handheld rock for grinding to keep your sword from rusting kinda like what they do in RDR2 with the guns. also horses obviously but id like more detail to it maybe, idk how you could make it more than it is in RDR2 but maybe with time someone could think about it lol

...umm lemme just put this here https://store.steampowered.com/app/844260/Rustler_Grand_Theft_Horse/

not quite what you were looking for, ngl a medieval game sounds interesting...but they'd probably just drop dev time and content for it like they did RDR2/RDO. Meaning, good game with a great SP and a MP that gets killed off by R*.
