Gray square at the edge of the screen
I went to RDR2 a month later, and a gray square appeared.
I started Googling the problem and found a couple of topics here, one English-speaking, the second Russian.
In English, it was advised to remove the line from Settings (nvidia reflex), - it did not help.
In Russian, they advise to disable Nvidia Reflex, it is disabled in my settings according to the standard, I tried to turn it on, re-log in, turn it off, it did not help.
There is a nuance, if you turn on "Windowed borderless mode" +Nvidia Reflex "On + boost", then the gray square is missing - not always. But then, when pressed, a white square appeared.
Bottom line - help :)

Turn off Nvidia Reflex then restart the game.

The last update has caused all manner of problems like a white square appearing and lack of video memory warnings when there is no lack of video memory.

Hopefully it'll get sorted soon.

Have you read what I wrote? I did all this, it's no use.

Try deleting your xml file and let it write you a new one (copy/save it first)

Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings

Disabled the Steam overlay, Geforce experience - did not help.
I don't know how to disable the Rockstar overlay.
I also tried reinstalling the game, it didn't help either

I finally fixed it
Reinstalling the graphics card driver helped.
Thank you for your help

Either reinstalling Geforce Experience helped, because when I reinstalled the drivers for the video card, I didn't install Geforce Experience - it was deleted when you didn't choose it.

Here is everything I did to finally fix this issue. Some of these steps might not be necessary, but some part of this combination fixed the issue.

-Open RDR2 > Setting > Graphic > Disable NVideo Reflex Low Latency (Mine was already disabled by default but I still had this issue.)

-Press Alt+Z to open GeForce Experience > Settings > Notifications > Turn OFF the "Reflex Flash Indicator Support" setting.
--In GeForce Experience Settings > Performance Monitoring > Turn OFF "Always Show Reflex Flash Incidatory.

-Right click on your desktop and open NVidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Select Red Dead Redemption 2 as the program, scroll down to "Low Latency Mode", and set it to OFF.

-Go to your Steam Library, right click on RDR 2 > Properties > General> Under "Launch Options", paste "-m.FlashMarkerOnStrike 0"

-Finally, after doing all of this, restart your computer. Good luck.
