stupid question about dead eye control on pc

i just started a new game on rdr2 and i forgot how to manualy aim with dead eye on pc, all i can find is guide how to aim on console.

my middle mouse button activates dead eye and typically im already aiming, or looking down the barrel with right mouse button held down. I assume looking down the barrel is what you mean by aiming? I use rt mouse button.

i'll try but if i reuse the midle mouse button it quits

ok just found out, midle mouse to start, and while aiming tap Q to tag target (on a QWERTY keyboard)

probably some third party app using MMB as a shortcut for something
you can use "Caps lock" as well for default settings or manually change it to whatever you'd like in the key mapping settings

Also you won't be able to manually tag for a while until it gets unlocked.
