Red dead Redemption 2 vs Cyberpunk 2077

I have looked at these two games, they keep getting compared on the Cyberpunk forum, so lets make one here.

Cyberpunk 2077, has a huge city, full of life. It features many well written companions, fast action gunplay with hacking, cybernetics and what not. It also has RPG features (something RDR2 does not have) how can RDR2 be so far behind??

Why can´t we have cyborg Cowbows in RDR2? Why no RPG features? (is that too much to ask? I mean.. why no character creator, with character stats, perks, skills that matter and why not proper development of these.. why not stats based weapons, proper crafting and so on??

Also... why do RDR2 have so many glitched things... its unplayable.. low graphics compared to performance, bugged AI that runs into fire and then die, enemy AI that just rush you to die easily (they are dumber than wet paint)

Why don´t we have proper Ray Tracing compatability!! is that too much to ask? What about all the clunky controls??... its just... this game has nothing to offer.. not even a proper story.. its a linear non changeable (it really is) forced story line.. Were is all the lore?...

The gameplay is tedius.. 85% of the game is walking/riding around in a empty world, void of human life.. with a few simplistic critters running around... its just ride, ride, ride, then hub with fetch/shoot/boring quest, then ride, ride, ride.. then another boring fetch quest without anything meaningful in the story that can´t change anything... then onwards with the linear quest, then rinse and repeat.. the ending does not matter, none of them.. they have the same overall outcome... no choices matter.


So Cyberpunk 2077 has better

AI
Graphics
Controls
Story/stories
Lore
RPG elements (RDR2 does not even have this)
Big living city!
Faster transportability (Cars/moterbikes vs Horses)
Character creation
Character progression
Companions that matter
Choices that have an effect on the world


All in all Cyberpunk 2077 is a much much superior RPG game.. Why is RDR2 so praises when it is so low quality? not even any RPG features, no proper story and so many glitches (yes I know its just a silly console port but anyway)
That being said.... RDR2 do have better hat selections than RDR2.. I guess that is the biggest pro in RDR2.. you can buy so many different hats.. hats for all..

Take-Two should refund everybody that bought RDR2, they failed to make a proper RPG.. they lied to their customers about most of the content and how it works..


All in all.. the story is pointless (Dutch argument) its basically all pointless and its not written very well (maybe for teens? young adults?) Stuff are locked behind story progression as well, but in a unrealistic way (like buying a bloody shotgun) All choices are illusions, they have no impact, not even on the endings (they still end up the same!) All in all.. RDR2 is some subpar Rail shooter for people that wanna be "ahistorical" cowboy robbers... nothing more, nothing less.. Its so awful..

Does clicking a button 17 times to sip 3 times on a cup of coffee really immersive us? does it bring realism? and come on.. that collision physics.. its... amateur.. its just.. I have never seen anything so badly made.

One of the biggest animations of this games, is farting.. I am not even joking, they took good care to include that and make it a focus... Farting!!!.... this is for teens.
The 75-100 hours it takes to complete this game, is tedius and mostly riding, clicking 17 times to drink coffee, most riding, them some walking, then fetch something, then abit of story, that is meaningless and has no impact on the future..

I dare say the first game is better and that is a avarage game at best.
This however leads me to Arthur Morgan... the most pointless, useless protagonist, to have ever been created.... not understanding this, just showcase you have low IQ

Again.. bloody hell.. there is not a single inch of RPG element in the game... is this made for a 12 year old playing on a console?

Yes obviously there is a hint of sarcasm here!!!

This is how RDR2 players act on the Cyberpunk 2077 forum.. they spam threads like these (in vice versa) and then complain about everything that is not a focus point of the game... so how does people react to the opposite here? most likely people will go wonkers and defend RDR2....


Hopefully this will lead to people stop comparing bananas and apples

Someone failed to read the entire post. I know.. people like you don´t have enough attention spand, that is why you don´t play Cyberpunk 2077 and instead play RDR2.. its just a simplistic Action Adventure, where you point and shoot after all.. or rather. you ride 85% of the time in a barren world... then 5% of clicking to drink coffee

The OP is right, this game should not be compared to Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk resembles Farcry / Borderlands playstyle over Red dead. These 3 are all looter shooter category.

Yeah sure, Cyberpunk has a great Police and NPC AI, that does not even compete to GTA 4 and in some cases GTA Vice City, look at their respective release date, good luck on your quest to save that wreck of a game that CP2077 is in his current state, 8 months after GOLD launch
