How do I turn off the Ultimate Edition BS?
For the cost of paying $20 extra, I ruined my first time experience. Is there a way to disable the trinkets, the free gear, and the boosts in story mode?

I think in options, under general, you can disable the cash bonus & boosts... the weapons however remain free, just don't take them.

And what about the Iguana Scale Trinket, or the clothing? Or the horse?

Those you pretty much stuck with, but you don't have to use them

How do I not use the Iguana scale bonus?

I'm pretty bummed I decided to splurge the extra dough, but find out 4 hours into my game after my refund period that the Ultimate Edition just ruins your first playthrough :(

Yeah, that I can't help you with that.

Yeah only Steam can help me now. I requested a a refund saying I will use the refund to buy the Standard Edition instead, we'll see what happens. Shame on Rockstar for upselling an inferior experience for extra money.

I would like to know the difference between the regular version and the Ultimate edition that Steam sells. As I understand it, the difference between the Special edition and the Ultimate edition was primarily a selling point for game consoles and the difference between the Special and Ultimate editions is only in additional items for the online version in the Ultimate edition. The Special edition has all the content I want. I only want to play offline, but I want all the additional DLC, so I want the Special edition over the Standard version, but I do not want the additional online benefits of the Ultimate version.

So my question is about Steam's regular PC version of RDR2 -- does the regular Steam version include all the offline DLC of the Special edition, or do I have to buy the Ultimate edition (with online stuff I do not care about) to get the added Special edition content?
