It even worse because I live in hot tropical country, the ambient temperature is 32~35 so the fan can't get cool air to cooling the CPU & GPU.
I just finished play RDR2 and when I checked the temperature my CPU reach above 90.
I'm using default setting, I didn't change anything and the game let me have everything set to ultra by default.
dude if you keep playing at 90ºc your pc is gonna fry real soon
duh
There are settings which are more demanding than others.. for example after some research I just tested on my pc that I can have texture settings on ultra with my gpu at constant 60°C, but if I turn on MSAA even just to x2 the lowest option the temperature rises to 67-68°

Lastly, don't try to run everything ultra high def using a monitor setting thats already maxed out. RDR looks great at 1600x900 1080p and expect framerates to run higher in this setting. I get 25-53 fps. Run the RDR built in FPS test. Turn all graphic settings off from Ultra to either Medium or High....don't try to push your system because you see options for Ultra. Most systems will run better and last longer by avoiding any attempt to push the processors to their max abilities. If youre looking for the highest framerates, this is the checklist to follow. RDR looks extremely good using Medium settings across the board. No need to run High or Ultra. My system is a dated AMD A-10, 28 Gb ram (ddr-3) GTX-1060 (6Gb)...all is excellent with a mix of medium and high. Particle systems, Raytracing and AA are your most demanding decoding operations.
gotta crank 'em up to eleven
-clean gpu
-increase fan speed
-cap/limit your frame rate
-undervolt/reduce voltage
With that being said 80c as a maximum is perfectly fine. your gpu is not made of water and boils at 100c. Also, all modern card have build in limits to prevent any damage from overheating.
I highly recommend you to check out the 2 videos hardware unboxed has on youtube for best visuals to performance on red dead 2.
