Oh, sweet lord ... the circle or dot in the middle of your screen that is used to aim. If you don't know that, I worry about what else you don't know - that or you're completely new to gaming!
As for the mod you requested, best not to install those as they foul up the way the game works and are potentially seen as hacks. The best thing to do is go into the settings for the game and change the ''recticle'' (reticle) type. I don't get any message when I target a player or a NPC that they are going to die. The red dot - if that is what you mean - is simply an indicator that you are ''locked on'' to them and that the optimal chance of scoring a hit on them is there. The red dot followed by red cross-hairs indicates a kill, where a red dot followed by white cross hairs indicates a potential wound or a miss.
Sounds more like guy is already using some mods.
That was my thought too. If he's modding, he only has himself to blame.
No Hit Markers I think.
This is the basic script one, there seems to be a LML one too, but this one has worked fine for me since day 1. In the ini change the setting from false to true (if it is at false by default I can't remember).
To be clear this is for single player mode only, if you are asking for mods for the online version then the answer is no.
The red X that appears when you land a headshot. :|
