I heard some stuff that he was a time traveller and exists in GTA 5. Crazy theory.

He's got quite a backstory and apparently a futurestory.

You can 'acquire' some letters he's carrying. I suggest waiting until he's out in the 'wilderness' before you hogtie and rob him. That is a crime, you know...lol

Nigel travels the map looking for Gavin, I've seen him in Valentine and St Denis and possibly Rhodes too.

He walked right through a Murfree Ambush on Roanoke Ridge.
Pretty sure he got Brain Juice splashed on him. A head exploded very near him.
Never missed a beat... kept on walking and calling...lol
