Error during Steam ROS Signin (1000.50)

Has anyone had this issue? Unable to launch rockstar and unable to start redm up. It crashes each time and that message pops up saying to contact steam. Rockstar won't launch at all so unable to play the base game or go online.

I've looked online and no one seems to have found a fix to it, I hope it's only a temp problem. Strange that we can't even launch the base RDR2 game.

I just had a pending Windows update. So I let that download and then restarted my computer. Verified my files, restarted Steam and now it's back to working again.

I restarted my pc after getting that problem, it's working now.

Windows updated their defender thingy so you have to download it, install it and that will let you play RDR2. At least that worked for me. For those that don't know, type in the search bar check for updates and download the update, it takes seconds to download.

I saw this solution and tried it, seems to have worked. Update graphics driver then verify game file integrity. I tried just verifying the file integrity first and it didnt help so I recommend updating your graphics driver first. GL
