Bad performance in valentine Ryzen 3600 and 3070 ?

I usually get 70-80 frames after changing some settings plus dlss but whenever I'm in valentine or rhodes I get 40-50 frames. I updated windows and my gpu but don't know whats going on. I get 60% CPU usage and 40% GPU when in Valentine.

Yes. It´s max what I got. There are also parts which lower FPS (saloon, main street), but I don´t see any drops under 60 fps.

This is very odd. I've gotten to 70 with some settings I checked up on Youtube but had to lower some settings to high to do them but still have issues. I don't know its very irritating.

Amd processor sucks, bad ipc and no VXAA Instruction, just upgrade do Core i5 or something else .

Ryzen 5 3600 is still a good cpu.

the problem here is AMD

You can go in task manager and set the games affinity to high it can help sometimes and its an easy enough thing to do all things considered

I've done that it still has issues. I've jumped on today and kept changing settings. I either get 60 fps or 40 fps around the map. I've jumped on my mates pc who has a 5600X and 3070 (Zotac) and he's having the same issue but another friend with a 2070 is running 70-90 fps except in Annesburg where he gets 40-60.
I honestly give up I'll just play other games till they drop another driver update or game update I guess.

Yeah 3600 is good and holds its place. I only got it as a placeholder till I can get my hands on a 5600X but the 3600 is still a decent CPU.

Ok nvm I managed to fix it. Deleting the RDR 2 documents apparently fixed my fps issues. There are regions where fps dips but thanks to one guy posting on the forums I thought I'd try it.
Now I'm getting between 70-100 open world and 60-70 in cities.
Although got a new bug. Game is muted lol

Try verifying game files :D Maybe you accidentaly deleted some sound files.

When i finished the game back in october 2020 i was getting 80 100 fps in 1440P with a 3080 and a 3700X (5900X now) settings ultra/high and some balanced like water quality i launched the game today to test the hdr with my new display and same settings like back then and i'm at 60fps with drops in tumbelweed area idk what they did with the game but it's a complet mess now wtf

I reinstalled the game on my NVME drive to see if it fixed the fps issues so couldn't be unless deleting the documents folder might have caused a bug.
Edit:Just verified yeah apparently the download failed 15 files lmao. Thanks for the fix.
It was so odd hearing birds but nothing else haha.

Yikes yeah must be Rockstars ♥♥♥♥ up. Maybe try deleting the rdr 2 document folder and see if it helps ?
I'm getting slightly better fps with mixed settings but sometimes goes down to 60 which I guess have to get used to but you would think they'd make the performance a bit better instead of making it worse lol.
