but my suggestion: play vanilla.
some trainers and mods can break the game in some situations.
and the singleplayer is designed well enough to enjoy it without mods.
sp is highly rated on both pc and console, and console doesn't have mods right?
so that should say enough.
just the mp is neglected/lazy.
I have terrible internet service so mp isn't even an option for me anyway haha! Just looking for the best sp experience.
Thanks for your input--I am leaning vanilla as well. I usually would play vanilla then mod second playthrough but time is limited so I doubt I'll get an opportunity for a second playthrough for a very long time.
Then you'll know - after at least 200 hours in game - what annoys you the most about the situation(s) and which mods would work best for you.
I mod my game and I'm much happier playing it with single player mods than playing without. The game is Epic - but a few things really put me off. Apparently the same things that put others off 'cause there are Nexus Mods (the good ones) that address exactly what's bugging me - for the most part.
The developers simply dropped the ball in some areas and the results are irritating. You'll find out what those are. Some things may irritate you less, some more. You won't know until you've played it thru once, at least.
The game isn't supposed to be Easy.
It's also not supposed to be dumb.
Mods help gloss over the dumb parts. <--- they don't particularly make it 'easier' - if you don't want it to be.
