robbed in saint denis

I just got pick pocket in saint denis outside the clothing store. I chased the guy and i think i shot him then the law was after me. How did u guys deal with him? I think u can tackle someone by pressing y on controller but i didnt know that. I should of used lasso i got a bounty from shooting him :( what is the best way is it to lasso him or tackle him? i was hoping a button prompt with pop up saying tackle (i didnt know how to tackle at the time)

I guess that´s the child robber - You can just chase him down. I didn´t shoot, because in a city it would end in a bloodbath which i didn´t want to have at that moment. Also i don´t think You can really shoot him if he´s a child, because there´s an agreement that children can´t be harmed in video games. And if You want to sell as many copies as available You stick to that while You can decapitate anybody else. What happens next would be a mild spoiler i guess, so: (i mean if we´re talking about the same situation and there are no random encounters which involve robbery.)

When You chase him down You run into a couple of other children after a while which give You the direction where that Bronte guy is.

Perhaps there are different ways to solve it, but this is how it worked out for me. You can´t do much wrong in this game anyway. You will not be stuck.

it wasnt the kids it was a random guy while on no mission he pick pockets you outside a shop this is later

Yes - there's a guy in the Tailor's shop that i know of at courtyard entrance

If you use lasso and/or punch him - non murder - i think you can get ur money back without the police getting involved.

i don't remember exactly, but i did get my money back once, and then completely avoided that store entrance becuz it's a really stupid thing to throw at an outlaw...

Yes, the outlaw would shoot him and kill any cops - run away - and then, becuz it's a game, the outlaw would just pay a bounty and then go back to doing what he was doing.

It's nothing more than a waste of time interruption - nothing learned - nothing gained - possible loss - very stupid imo.

Lasso the fool, hogtie, get your money and also rob him of his<---save that trip to the Tailor until you need that 'Rob for $50 Bandit Challenge' - then go shopping in St. Denis (with your lasso out...lol). Cops won't bother you - if he's still breathing when you leave.

Cut him loose - so you don't get done for kidnapping. He'll just run off - let him go (he, or one of his pals may rob you again - repeat the procedure).

yep should of done this got a bounty and killed by cops, not worth shooting back bounty just goes higher

Shooting in Saint Dennis is just asking for a sledge hammer to your wallet. If you must kill, be sneaky and silent about it. But be careful also, there might be a Police standing around you just did not see. Unlike most of the other towns, SD is highly Policed. If you get robbed, you'll know by you going through a doorway or brushing by someone and then all of a sudden you see a decent loss of $ on your screen popup. Chase them down with Lasso in-hand. When close enough, press F to tackle. Because you tackled with lasso in-hand, you will automatically tie them up to restrain them. Then just Loot them and quickly leave the area. No need to cut him loose. He wont die just for being tied up. And he will despawn once you get far enough out of the area. When you have to chase after someone like this, while in the middle of chasing them, press H to call your Horse. This way by the time you tie up the enemy and loot them back, your Horse should have caught up to you and you can more easily get away.

Anytime you fart the wrong way in Saint-denis you get a bounty. Does not matter if you act in self defence, law is everywhere against you alone.

There's a few occurrence of ambushes near back alleys. I knew everytime it was a set up but i follow the guy just for curiosity and action lol. If the guy knocks you out, make sure you know where the spot is, wake up and get your cash back.
