wild horses in rdr2 online?

can anyone tell me, what can you do with the wild horses in rdr2 online? Can you catch them

Sure - you can't put a saddle on one, or sell it so I don't know what you'd do with it other than ride it bareback or use it on a hunt to put a pelt on.

Your horse can carry one pelt and you can drag another with the lasso, so that rather negates the PITA of having a horse you can't stable, sell or saddle.

you can calm them , then use them as a mount with no saddle . take them back to camp once they become obeident then put saddle on to use as primary horse. and if you have a temporay mount and your primary on hunt you ride the temp and whistle the prime to follow and you dont need a lasso.

You can't use a wild horse that way in Online.
You can't put a saddle on a tamed horse.
You can't stable a tamed horse.
You can't sell any horse.
Wild Horses in Online are Decoration - that's about it.

You can shoot them, but they don't give XP, skins and meat.

just a free ride, no benefit from feeding them even, but they do try run next too you if you have a fast horse ^^

I used them as extra storage space, tame one and use it as your main mount while having the real horse follow.

We're talking Online - you can't put a saddle on a Tamed Horse so you can't make it your 'Main' Horse. All a tamed horse can be a barebacked temp. It's more trouble than it's worth. If you have a Hunting Wagon - it has no worth.

Online wild horses are only helpful as an extra ride if all you have is Scrawny Nag :( Online sucks that way. I wish they'd made it so you could tame a wild horse, but wild horses were only Morgans, Saddlers, and Walkers, or something. I've mostly gone back to playing storymode after trying online because I got so damn tired of Purchase Simulator.

All the breeds are there and along with being mostly decoration they also get in the way - like when you're trying to aim at Deadly Predator (or perhaps a bad guy that's shooting at you) with one of those USELESS horses in view, and the 'aim' mode instantly snaps to the 'tame' mode.

I spend a lot of time around a Hungarian spawn - It would be quicker to tame it, than ride to town to buy it, but if I want to ride it with a saddle on it I have to go to town.

I like the horse - but not that much...lol

I like that in Storymode, you can steal someone's horse or tame a horse and it can become yours. That this isn't allowed in Online makes the game feel just kinda shallow. It feels less real. Combine that with a silent character and the dumbest NPCs ever written, and the result is just lame. I wish that instead, they made it so only the best horses could be purchased, like Arabians, Foxtrotters, and Turkomans. Online is fun to mess around in, but that's it. If my friends aren't on, there's no point in me playing.
