Anti-cheat for Red Dead Online

What's stopping rockstar from adding at least the same BattleEy to Red Dead Online?

Or rockstar only remembers the cash cow GTA 5, which is not the only one mired in cheaters?

i have the same question... but Rockstar should now add anti-cheat to RDO, since they should not abandon their online game where are also cheaters

lol, I just hope no one here runs certain anti-virus programs like AVG or Trend Micro, cuz if you do, it sounds like you have to completely disable your virus protection now in order to play online. :P

May be because people will not able to mod single player mod

There hasn't been a valid reason to run external 3rd party AV soft for a very long time. Windows defender is enough to do the job!

It depends on the country you live in really - here we have ISP firewalls and such.

Windows Defender only does a good job of not getting on the user's nerves. but windows defender definitely does not offer security!

Battleeye is a 3rd party anticheat software, it's not free. I assume it cost some amount per game it's applied to, as it will need to be curated to each game. Unfortunately, given that rdo is effectively abandoned, it seems unlikely that they would pay for this.

No point really. RDO isn't supported anymore. And with GTA 6 on the horizon. adding battle-eye here is just a nuisance for little gain.

RDO sadly isn't being supported anymore, because every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ child under 17 wants to play GTA 5. because haha funny shooter online.
and when gta 6 drops and completely blows or is filled to the brim with bugs and everyone's gonna complain about it "not being perfect on launch"

I honestly wish someone would find a way to make or host community made servers, so then people who enjoy RD online can go and play it, without the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worry of hackers, cheaters and other annoying things.
