this is so sad :( still glad I bought it before the price got hiked but it's a bummer people would have to pay a lot more for this game when it's discounted 60-70% off now :(
Crasharr Oct 3, 2024 @ 8:35am
Why? Its to combat the insane amount of cheaters and hackers, make the game more costly for them everytime they have to buy a new account lol. Look at the regions that were hit, says alot.

I know it doesn't matter much to steam but they just lost a customer for rdr 2.

Thats just rascist! Btw, didnt you say you just bought it for a discount somewhere else? Proving my point that its soo old that no one is buying to for full price anymore, unless they are cheaters who got banned? You just bought it at a discount, your whole math run around doesnt change anything, you got it at a discount somewhere else, as you would, because its an old game! Its a non issue created by some pearl clutchers with an inferiority complex. Stop playing the victim card.

Here from another responce, fits perfectly:
Why are you people complaining about the pricing to a 10 year old game you already own!? Are you affraid that next time you get a ban you cant afford a new copy? How about you stop cheating and hacking instead. No one is buying this fullprice anymore anyways, only sales are to people being banned and people buying it with a hefty discount. LOL, hacker tears taste sweet.

If you check steamdb.info you will see the ratio of sp:mp is 10:1, so I the usp of this game is single player mode. So I can say it has nothing to do with hackers and why rockstar ban player from a game where they stoped supporting it's mp mode?

And the game isn't 10 years old but it's 5 years old and there are still people in 3rd world country who couldn't afford a gaming pc back then, but now they can for their financial reasons, so don't they have the liberty to enjoy a old masterpiece just because they are late? Almost 95% of Indian gaming community didn't played gta 5 till date, so can't they buy it now if they want to enjoy it? And even if people buying it on discounted price, the lowest steam price for rdr 2 is 1055 INR when the MRP was 3299 means 67% discount which rarely appears, now if we have to buy the same game with the discount of 67% it will cost 1650 INR, keeping in mind this 67% discount appears maybe once in a year and most commonly it's 60% discount which will cost it 2000 INR, which is 1/10th monthly income of an average Indian graduate. And it's completely bs that a 5 year old game price get increased instead of decreasing.

I'm sure you could not understand or feel these problems as you are from one of the rich countries and that's normal
privileged people wont understand , no point in arguing with a phool

Stop complaining, you already own it, the price increase doesnt cost you anything and with 2500 games in your library i doubt you cant afford it. Stop trying to create outrage and portrait yourself as a victim, you're a rich entitled no-lifer. Again, 2500 games, when was the last time you went outside? Besides, PC gaming is universally expensive so if you can afford the hardware you can afford the same prices for games as everyone else.

You are really bitter with people owning more games than you aren't you

Atleast it not bad as new Microsoft/xbox games which is priced more than the US version. Hellblade2 is $53 in india vs $50 in US.
