And that's why I love him as a character! XD
You were doing good with your post until it came to the paragraph about betrayal. So what if everyone was expected to be loyal to Dutch? It's like IRL, everyone is expected to pay taxes, but not everyone feels good about giving away such a big share of their hard earned money to a corrupt government who uses the tax money for their own personal gain through their lobbying schemes etc. Arthur wasn't loyal to Dutch either. Arthur was starting a mutiny behind his back and was planning to steal all the money. Was Arthur justified? Not by the law at least. Through his own opinion? Sure. But Micah was justified through his own opinion as well.
You make very good points. I suppose it's a matter of perspective. When you said "So what if everyone was expected to be loyal to Dutch?", it really is a matter of perspective. To me, the idea of loyalty is important, especially in a group. Micah is very machiavellian, but I don't subscribe to that ideology.
As far as Arthur not being loyal to Dutch, I see it a little differently than you. Dutch had lost faith in Arthur (partly due to Micah putting seeds of doubt in his head), and had left him to die at least once (the part where Eagle Flies saved Arthur).
I do agree with you that Micah and Arthur are both justified based on their own opinions like you said. There are two sides to every story, but for me, I side more with Arthur than Micah
Again, for purely selfish reasons.
Angry virgin Micah. No wonder he is so highly strung XD

I don't hate him, but he's the only one I rarely say hello to ... And I won't be surprises to learn he's the snitch, not John.
He's NOT an antagonist, though ... in spite of that video's description. He antagonises, sure, but that just means he's a sociopathic ass, not an antagonist. The O'Donnellys, that Pinkerton dude and the oil baron (and, briefly, Mr Mafioso) are our antagonists.
Holy crap you actually love Micah??? He's such an evil character! Man, you might as well love the devil xD And wth, he never defended himself in Strawberry, he bloody killed the Sheriff and his wife. HE IS EVIL, A LIAR AND A SNAKE! And don't forget, Micah is the one who planned to have the whole gang killed and backstabbed them all. HOW IS THIS EVEN A DISCUSSION!? Everyone has a reason to hate him! Micah = a tool of Satan. This is NO different than being a Luciferian worshipper. How blind are you to NOT see it!?
PS: Arthur is NOT a bad guy, yes, he did do bad things, but, the whole time he was nothing but loyal to the whole gang, especially Dutch. Arthur exposed Micah's plan and wanted to stop him. Micah corrupted Dutch and got into his ear big time as well as a few gang members. Micah is NOT a good character, I'm glad he's dead, good riddance snake...and btw, Micah was all about himself, he used everyone even Dutch to get the money all for HIMSELF. If you feel offended or triggered, good, I'm all in for more triggers but spoken in %100 truth from what I have to say...
You should have read some of the replies in this topic, because now you've only wasted your time writing all that. You are just repeating some of the old arguments which have already been defeated.
As least for me.
