The game supports Vulkan so, as long as a PC is made out of AMD parts it could run on a toaster lol. But seriously though, my PC is not too powerful (R3 2200g, 8gbs RAM at 2700hz, RX 570 4gbs VRAM) and I get a solid 40-70 fps in game.

^ Proof of point.

Your GPU and CPU are too old for this game fren.

Spend five minutes on google checking the game requirements before you mislead a group of people. The game should run just fine on a lesser system than mine with no issues at all k33th.
I just looked up the 8700k and it says 3.7 ghz why are you running at 4.8?? That's overclock and not smart for game stability. Why does everyone overclock their gear? Can someone please tell me? What is this 2016? What are you going to do next? Add an audio card?
I wish people would run their pc properly. Is it the fat guys on you tube? They do that so you subscribe and they free gear. I don't get it. You barely get anything out of it and more and more programs are coming out that hate it. I know developers couldn't care any less about overclock either.
Let's hope you can return to reference specs and you didn't damage your machine. Lulz

I mean with how condescending you're acting it would be an awful shame if someone pointed out alot of stock cpus utilize built in overclocking.

Built-in overclock wouldn't take you from 3.7 to 4.8 so I'm not sure what you mean. I'm speaking of going to your uefi settings and changing values in an attempt to run faster. That's where you will have issues. Not in everything no, but some things yes; including this game.

My PC is designed to be overclocked, its built into the bios as well as "idiot proof" software. It is a "built-in" overclock, I just turned it to "On". Its an MSI motherboard, using MSI Command Center. I would have to try to "cook" it on purpose as it has built in safeguards that will not allow it to pass a certain temperature or draw to much power causing damage (unless i go insane and override them) and even then it should shut down the pc automatically. I have had the PC two years and this is still the only game I ever occasionally have a problem with, and always find some other people asking about the exact same problem. I am by far no detective but I am going to toss out the guess that it may just be this game (which I do enjoy a lot btw, I just wish they would fix some of the bigger issues).

The game is complete ♥♥♥♥. After over 200hrs I couldn't stand those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 45fps average and listening to my RX 5700XT telling me constantly that the game its ♥♥♥♥, it's not her fault. Why should I make my GPU suffer, when I can just simply uninstall this crap and never play it again? It's also made by R*, worse than Bethesda...

The game is not poorly optimised but it is very sensivite to the "environment". Driver, updates of WIN10, overclocking, background tasks like reshade, even the overlay of GeForce Experience can cause issues. The solutions to fix issues may vary.

but it does , just look at the specs ... the I7 8700 base clock is 3.7 ghz and the boost clock is 4.7 ghz , this is a part of this CPU specs and It's how the thing work.

it's not something you change from the bios.

This thread has become toxic, the game is not optimized, our computers are not potatoes Rawfire. According to your profile you don't even own the game? Troll time over? Good child.

The game is well optimized. I ran it at steady 30 fps on my old potato (FX-8350, R9 380) at medium-high settings and now I'm getting 60 frames at high-ultra settings and a gorgeous 1.5 resolution scale. No crashes or anything like that.

I bought from the Rockstar store. It is not linked to steam. And yes, in the context of Red Dead Redemption 2's more demanding "future proof" requirements, your computer is an absolute potato that you should consider getting at least a 2070 nvidia card this Cyber Monday sale.

Peace.

that's like just your opinion at this point , even upcomming games like Cyberpunk 2077 will run on older hardwares.

then seriously these days peoples should be worried on other more importants things then just how up to date their computers are , no one should need to buy a new PC every two years just because some developers make their game worst with every patches.

No, and it is also not my opinion that by saying Cyberpunk 2077 will run on older hardware simply means "if you turn the graphics settings all the way down to low it'll run fine on ur potato lolololol"

Seriously its the same with RDR2. I know, I've experienced it when I upgraded last year.

stop using term like potatoes and maybe I'll consider this more then a mere biased opinion.

and unlike this game I'm sure Cyberpunk will scale better in how it's look between the low and high graphic options too , even GTA 5 does.

Given the games scope i don not see horrible optimization either. It runs as i expect a game like this to run on my hardware. If it freezes chances are your hardware/software setup is damaged or the machine is below spec.

The only way to make this game look bad is by turning off TAA - this should never be turned off.
TAA is the first thing I've disabled when launched the game. I have not seen such blurry crap in any other game. The sharpness bar works only when you stand still. But when you move all distant landscape i not sharp. I am only not sure if that issue is just on full HD or does it also affect 4k resolution.

I think the blur is in part a stylistic choice. Given how absolutely terrible flora looks with it off, the whole design revolves around it blurring the image. I don't think that other resolutions get a crisper look.
