Has anyone ever figured out how to run RDR2 without the Rockstar launcher?
I love RDR2. I hate, hate, HATE the Rockstar launcher. I'd give anything to be able to launch my OFFLINE SINGLE PLAYER GAME without having to use that horrible malware pretending to be a (unnecessary on Steam) launcher.

After all these years, has anyone figured out a trick to do this? Don't worry, I paid for the game (twice).

I'm genuinely curious as to how the R* launcher impacts your ability to play... I've put over 1500 hours into the game without ever having any launcher issues other than something simple like having to re-login.

Constant updates (to a simple launcher of all things) which resets login information, along with constant connection problems. The idea that I even need to log in to an online server to play an offline single-player game is extremely off-putting. At least Steam gives me an option to play such games when their servers go down. There's not another offline single-player game in my library that requires a separate "phone home" launcher - I just click on the game in my Steam menu and play. That's what I wish for RDR2.
Yes, I think there should be the R* launcher for Online mode only and not the single-player game.

If you're trying to play offline the launcher is a nightmare. I lived in a place without internet and it would never let me play offline so I had to obtain it by... alternative means (I do own it on epic though).

So there's still no way to play this game offline? What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ practice. A 24/7 connection, for a single player game. I remember having this game on my portable computer for a nine month deployment. Thinking I could play this games story again when I had free time in the barracks. Only to get slapped in the face with a error message pretty much saying it thinks my legit steam purchased copy is not playable for unknown licence issue. Meaning without it connected, it keeps thinking it's a stolen copy instead of a legal copy. Just because the launcher can't connect to anything.
