Delay from keyboard/input lag

RDR2 has become unplayable for me. Whenever I load into story mode, there is a big delay from my keyboard to what actually happens in the game. Running, shooting, steering my horse is impossible because the game doesn't really register what I have pressed for a few seconds. I read somewhere that this is an unresolved issue that R* is yet to deal with. Still, does anyone else have this issue and has anyone managed to fix it? I tried downloading a .dll on nexus but it didn't help. No issues in other Rockstar games and my physical keyboard works fine.

Delete file "profilesettings" in directory my docs - red dead redemption 2 and delete that file in cloud save
