Horse lanterns
So, lanterns - they're fun to exploit because they're like napalm capsules. It seems like having one on your horse would be like the ultimate trust accessory. "I'll be good, and if I'm not, just pop my horse right here and we'll both smolder."

Do they work that way on player horses? I'm not the kind of bumhole that would shoot someone else's for the sake of science, and luckily no one has ever plugged me in mine. Yet. I'm just wondering if it's a potential nasty risk.

Does the reticle become red when you aim at a player horse's lantern? If yes, then it will blow up. If not, then it won't.

Personally, I never put lanterns on my horses though, because I've found that they actually make it harder to see (it does help with what's immediately around you but hurts with anything beyond that and ultimately makes things worse IMHO).

Well, the make you a target, that's for sure, can see the horse coming miles away! No stealth. I
don't use them.

Went ahead and took it off. It’s definitely easier to run in the forest now if anything. Got so used to the lantern being there that I tried to shoot at it when it came crashing through the trees toward me. Also it was night and it’s a black horse. 🤣
