Stutter Issues
Heyy Everyone! I know it's kinda late but I am facing some stutter issues on my laptop, previously I played the game on the same laptop using a cracked version and the game was running very smoothly (45-50 fps) but recently I purchased the game and now am facing stuttering issues, I have tried most of the methods online(like stutter mod, setting fps limit in nvidia control panel etc.) but still the issue persists. When I boot the game it works pretty fine at start smooth 40 fps with textures on ultra and rest all settings at medium but after around 20 mins mark the game window kind of exits to desktop and then return to the game again, and after that fps drops (I get around 20-25 fps with stutters). If anyone knows how to fix it, it would be a great help.

My specs:
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz 2.69 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: RTX 3050 4gb vram

I know these specs are pretty low by 2024's standards, but it is what I have at the moment. [*Also Note: The game ran pretty fine on the same specs while using the pirated version].
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Literally man, I tried every possible fix, but nothing helps. Game's broken I guess.

Have you tried lowering the texture? at least to medium. Your gpu has only 4gb of vram.
Also try updating the gpu driver and verifying game files.

Tried it all, medium setting/low settings, graphic drivers are updated to the latest version, uninstalled/reinstalled the game, verified the files, used the stutter fix mod, I did it all nothing helped.

The game recently crashed my pc. i contacted steam for a refund. rockstar launcher, refuses to launch the game now. even after a complete reinstall of both the game and the launcher. almost like rockstar banned me because of the crashing during story mode. My advice is to also seek a refund

Mann that's really sad to hear! Rockstar have become a greedy corporation, they have completely given up on this amazing game. I wish I could have refunded it, but I am way over the 2 hour mark, most of my time was spent on configuring the game, now I can't refund it. I don't know why the pirated version runs soo much better than the original one. This is some serious optimisation issue on rockstar's part.

DX12 causes stuttering. Try switching to Vulkan. Attention: all graphics settings will be set to default.

Well I am already using vulkan, because I was having issue on dx12 the refresh rate was constantly locked on at 30 in it, and was making the fps drops worse, so vulkan was a better option. But still getting stutters, after 20 mins of gameplay the fps spikes get insane

Are you using mods? same is happening to me after installing ''lml'' Try selecting "high performance" option in the Windows Power Settings, will help a lot.

No am not using any mods, i just used the stutter fix mod once to fix the issue but still it didn't help much, then I uninstalled it. Am running the game in high performance mode only and tried to lock my fps to 40 to avoid stutter but still it does that, haved tried turning the in-game setting to low too but still stutters here and there.

Man this sucks! I have seen countless reddit posts regarding the last update & how it broke the game.

This game stuttered on my new Asus gaming laptop with Intel 13th gen CPU, 16GB RAM and NVIDIA 4000 series GPU. It runs much smoother on my custom built desktop PC. Laptops are not all that good for gaming. It's a good idea to get a cooling pad for laptops. They are very prone to overheating. Desktops have much better cooling. It can be weird when a game stutters and why. I had a game stutter to the point of unplayable on my laptop. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it a couple of weeks later. The game suddenly was playing much smoother from simply uninstalling and re-downloading the game. idk lol
