Disarm enemies without shooting their guns or using rope?
I might be wrong, but I think I once saw Arthur doing a move to disarm an enemy while having fists equipped? Hitting the enemy arm and making him drop his weapon? Is this really possible, or am I just crazy?

You can- it's just inconsistent. I cant figure out how or why it sometimes doesnt work.

You can almost always disarm a longarm by shooting the weilder in the upper-arm area. You can SOMETIMES disarm a pistol by shooting at the hand or the metal part of the pistol itself.

the "punch disarm" move i believe triggers when you use a melee attack, while holding no weapon yourself, and the enemy is holding a pistol.

edit: the text above the line is kind of unrelated to your question, sorry. leaving it up in case it helps anybody else.

Waitttt I think thats the one I did once? Again, I might be confusing things, but everytime I try to disarm someone Arthur tackles the enemy and there's the option to let him go, punch etc...

The one I remember is just arthur hitting the enemy's arm and dropping their pistol

You can rush tackle an enemy and disarm them
If you play on keyboard and you hold F or the punch button while having fists out you can disarm people
There's a lot to see and try in RDR2.

Did you know you can hail and stop a stage coach and then send the guards off and rob the coach through violence or subterfuge?

Violence = Threaten the stage coach drivers to open the safe while the guards are away.

Subterfuge = Rob the safe without the stage coach drivers knowing and before the guards return.
