Can't craft all those sachels and stuff because PELTS ARE STUCK ON MY HORSE!
I know there are some tricks to remove, lose those stuck pelts. The actual problem is, I need those pelts! I have to properly remove a pelt from my horse, so I can keep it at the camp, use it to craft things. Each time I put a pelt on my horse it's permanently stuck, until I die (and have it stolen) or I donate it to Pearson for the camp budget. Either way, I can't have the pelt. Then why bother hunting anyway?
Why aren't they fixing this bug? It's affecting a major gameplay feature. It's so frustrating!:steamfacepalm:

Story mode?
You sell them to the tapper who then provides a list of unique items he can craft for you.
bring horse up near the trpper to sell them.
Pearson can also craft some things. Our charactor does not craft these items.

The fence can also craft trinkets for you from valuable items.
I found 2 trappers the closest is near Strawberry near Briggs Station right up on a hill .
The Other is west of Elysium Pool

No I mean, at the camp, when you buy leather working tools for Pearson, he can craft you some sachels and stuff to decorate the camp. All kinds of "perfect" pelts required for those and I can't use any of the hardly accured perfect pelts for crafting those because they are always stuck on my horse. So I have to either donate them, or lose them when I die.

It's a huge map, huge open world, obtaining perfect pelts are so hard, some animals are too far away and I have to bring those pelts to the camp without losing them, without dying. It's already a difficult task and then they are stuck on the horse and completely unusable.

I don't know what trapper is. I'm still somewhere in Chapter 2, so...

Park your Horse at the camp closest to Pearson then go to his table and select sell or whatever it was Donate and you get a list of items it should include the pelt.
Its the only way to remove some pelts.
Then Pearson has a menu where the crfating items are and whats needed.
Any items we succeed in getting crafted by Pearson automaticlly gets placed on the end of his Kitchen or our tents or the ground or table etc. We dont really have any interaction with it.

When I removed a buffalo hide unsellable only to butchers or a larger pelt at the camp it auto places it at your tent on the ground same place as your saddle.
Dead meat or animal kills auto places on the ground just on the outskirts of the camp and can disappear if you leave it there I think rodents run off with it or it deteriorates.

There is no bug... you are misunderstanding how it works.

You DO donate the pelts to pearson for crafting. Just hitch your horse at the camp horse hitches, walk to pearson and select donate. The pelts on your horse will be available to donate.

If you notice, the button says donate for crafting. That means when you donate it, pearson now has the pelt available to craft.

You never take pelts back off the horse. If you are just selling to a butcher, you just ride close to the butcher, get off and open the sell menu.

Oooh LOL so that's it!
Well it's not my fault! Anything I donate to Pearson is either cooked or sold to be added to the camp's money box, so I was thinking I shouldn't "donate" my perfect pelts. Anyway, thanks!! That solves it all!
