Looking for a Mod
Ive been looking for a mod to no prevail. Id like a mod for Single player that would stop my weapons from Unequipping all the damn time. Setting the guns to shoulder at the gun smith doesn't work for long. Any help would be a appreciated.

So, you want to accidentally pull your gun on someone in a town, and get into a shootout by accident?

Throughout the single player game it constantly unequipped all your rifles and forces you to get on your horse and equip your rifles. The tool tip says to go to the gunsmith and equip it on the shoulder but that doesn't work either. I look it up on google and lots of people have this problem. I was wondering if anyone has a mod that fixes this.

You only have to be 'near' the horse, not on it.

To Temporarily set your loadout:

Equip back
Equip shoulder
Duel Wield sidearms
Holster Sidearms

That will set your loadout for a while. You don't need to go to the Gunsmith - you never did if you do the above.

The only thing you can do is always select weapons with the wheel while on the horse. Direct Weapon Select works as expected on foot (or Online, oddly enough).

Any number of conditions can reset them to something else. There's no way to stop it. Check and reset as often as required.

Story Missions will put what it thinks are 'better' weapons in your loadout if those weapons are in your Locker, or Saddlebag. The only way to stop that is to ONLY have weapons you want to use in your Locker or Saddlebag. If you own the weapon - chances are R* will load you up with it in a Story Mission - loaded with regular ammo.

Check and reset the loadout when necessary - or risk being Unarmed when dismounting.

The OP is correct , this is annoying and we all know it doesn't happen in RDO.

I've never used such options via the Gunsmith; it's pointless.
Simply get on your horse, set your loadout, equip a rifle and then get off.
Then switch to Fist to holster.

Some things must stay on your Horse Inventory; such as Outfit Presets and all of your "long-arms" You do not have to get onto your horse to change them either, you can simply stand as close as possible to either side of your horse's saddle. However sometime it doesn't want to act right and do things properly if you and the horse are not both standing on even grounds. Sometimes happens when you are in areas with steep hills and such.

Be smart, manually save the game progress often.
When it doubt about what's ahead of you, save to a different save slot even. Just in-case you need a fall-back save. Never rely on the autosave slot. This is used for event triggers and also deaths.
