Debt Collector mission, stuck at Wrobel

Apparently I have to loot the golden ring from the drawer Wrobel is standing in front of, but I cant because I already have 5 rings in my inventory, and the game doesn't let you discard valuable items.

What now?

I don't think Ive found any yet, don't have any marked on my map, and I assume if I just walk away from Wrobel's cabin the mission is going to fail, no?

Killing Wrobel to fail the mission a couple times eventually gives you the option to skip the checkpoint and progress with the mission, had to do this.
