Keyboard Delayed Input (Update: Patched!)

There has been an issue with Rockstar's latest Social Club update. This is making the keyboard input lag when you alt-tab or focus on a different application.

Update: Issue fixed!

But yea I tried the disable of NVIDIA Low Latency on multiple PCs; through NVIDIA CP and In-game and then restarted the game after apply changes. Bug still there, have to run Benchmark first to over-come the keyboard lag issues.

Such a shame. Hope they fix it soon.

Not fixed at all; still doing the same keyboard lag BS until I run the benchmark.

Even did a wipe and clean install of the Rockstar Launcher + SocialClub runtime.

Mine seems to be fixed now. I have an AMD CPU and GPU and have never run mods, FWIW. Weird...

Yea somehow their option for Winkey Lock in the Launcher seems to fix it.
I'm not a programmer/coder so I can't explain why that works as a fix.

If you do need Winkey for ease of access; simply have Task Manager opened before game launch, which you really should just have opened all the time anyways. Then you have something to ALT+TAB over to, then once the focus is outside the game window, you can use Winkey normally.

This right here fixed it for me. The ONLY thing that fixed it for me. Instructions on how:

1. Close RDR2
2. Open Rockstar Games Launcher
3. Click the gear icon in top right corner
4. Look for the setting that says "Disable Win Key" (something like that)
5. Make sure you ENABLE it

Rockstar, hope you sort this crap out because it's effing annoying.

For the keyboard lag my solution was in settings/general Rockstar Games Launcher, check disable window key/check minimize on close, and to open the desktop you have to press ALT+TAB, if it doesn't work try to minimize the Rockstar Games Launcher application when you are starting RDR2.
