1600x900 never works

ive tried it all direct x12, vulcan, reinstalling, everything. nothing seems to work, it boots up in a weird ratio where half of the game is gone and no matter what i change its still locked into that ratio, the only thing i found that kinda works is geforce experience but when i tab out to check something boom its back to weird locked in ratio. any advice?

I have an ultrawide monitor, but generally play at 16:9 cause it's a better aspect ratio for most games and it worked just fine on UWHD and HD so I am guessing you either have some other setting that won't let it or your NVidia settings could be set to Strech or something. If you open NVidia Control Panel > Adjust desktop size and position and at scaling you select "Aspect ratio", then try setting the game again. Also make sure you are in fullscreen rather than borderless window, I find that to work better in general
