red dead online on pc is the same as grand theft auto on pc, users have to deal with a buttload of cheaters, hackers, scammers, account stealers, ip grabbers, script kiddies etc. i would recommend to bring a friend to play with you in a private server, i don't know how to make one cuz i haven't played online since the beta came out on ps4.
rdo is not immersive in a realistic way i guess, animations are speed up and body looting is nearly instant.
I read that you can setup a private lobby (using a mod) to play alone, do I really need to be with someone like a friend to play missions?
The online of this game is great, it is practically a new game, the problem is that Rockstar's negligence in maintaining it and removing the cheats is null.
I play it alone and I enjoy it a lot, there are loot in the enemies, missions, pvp, pve, legendary animals, skill cards and many collectibles that you loot and find around the world and enemies.
But when a guy shows up in a city or event, he ruins everything.
The skill cards are what I like the most and what makes them different in Online.
Try it and don't despair, if you play at your own pace it's great.
People will tell you that you can but matchmaking will fail and you will get kicked back to having to enter the mission area to queue for matchmaking that is never going to happen because there is not another play online.
It is a bit of a grind getting the roles up to the point where you start earning good gold and cash. After that it is your own game as much as RDR2 is (400+ hrs )
I tried getting back into RDR2 for a replay and couldn't get into it - I guess I couldn't face another LOTE satchel grind.
Best thing about online is bumping into someone in Van Horn doesn't result in a massive shootout.
Worst thing about online (public) is the cheaters, hackers, griefers.
