Story: Why won't it save?

I got as far as going off to rob the train and quit. How come I can't pick up at that point?

Someone posted that if you supposedly cheat in any way, the game won't allow you to save your progress.

And by cheat i mean use cheat software.

Btw have you even done a Manual save instead of relying on Auto save ( if that's what you did ).

Ohh & you can't save while doing a mission or if one is active.

So, The Story is a mission? 2.3 hours and I am still not done with the mission? Intolerable.

I'm pretty sure they meant cheat codes, and after a little delay you may be locked from saving, just wait a bit and you can save.

Missions will indicate when they are completed. As in, it comes up as a tab that it has been completed. No rockstar game allows you to save mid-mission.

Ah i just remembered that the train is part of the mission & you will be done with the Intro Mission WHEN you & everybody go to the first place to setup camp, after that you should be able to save the game.

Haven't played the Single Player for a long while know but i clearly remember that you can save once everyone ( Gang ) moves down the mountain from the snow & they setup their first Camp.

The Intro Mission is LONG as well but not to far off once you pass the Train Section with Arthur & Dutch.

Yeah, not sure where you came by that. If you are doing the train mission, then you would have been camped at Colter, you could save at any point during that, except whilst on a mission

Except that's not the intro, the intro is finished after you rescue Sadie, you are then camped at Colter and can save anytime before going on missions.
