I think it would no do an update though most likely due to you not having enough free disk space. But hopefully it's cleared up now. As a whole re-download of the entire game would have downloaded the most up to date version just by doing that. So you won't see any updates for a long time most likely. The updates recently were just Rockstar Launcher updates anyways, the Rockstar Games will all update if installed to include latest bundled launcher with the game, which is really stupid for us to have to do as the Launcher would auto update when you run it anyways.
