Red Dead Redemption 24 April 22 Update Stuck on Pause
It won't resume update no matter what. I cleared the download cache in steam but it made no difference. I'm scared to uninstall the game sine I had such a hard time with it to begin with. It certainly has placed Rock Star Games on my never purchase from again list. Has anyone else had any issues with the update?

No problem with the update my end. It downloaded and installed with out any problems. :steamthumbsup:

Update to my original post: I uninstalled and now it is the same for trying to reinstall. I cleared download cache, ran ccleaner, rebooted the machine, even deleted the red dead folder in steam. I guess I'll have to chalk this game up to another company stealing money for an unplayable game.

There was such a problem. Steam client update helped.

It didn't change things for me. It is still stuck on pause. The game won't download to even install but it is the only game affected.

Through steam? I wouldn't know how to do that but I have solved it. In uninstalling the empty dead red redemption 2 folder was not deleted. I deleted it then it downloaded and installed. Thanks everyone for your input. Have a nice day.

In the Steam Settings > Downloads.

I think it would no do an update though most likely due to you not having enough free disk space. But hopefully it's cleared up now. As a whole re-download of the entire game would have downloaded the most up to date version just by doing that. So you won't see any updates for a long time most likely. The updates recently were just Rockstar Launcher updates anyways, the Rockstar Games will all update if installed to include latest bundled launcher with the game, which is really stupid for us to have to do as the Launcher would auto update when you run it anyways.
