just recently started the epilogue and noticed that it feels like marston has a higher rate of fire

This could also be it. There's so many more variables that go into rate of fire than just the character

i was using grangers revolver with arthur

well, compare the rates of fire (taking into account any wear on either gun, any bonuses each character was using, etc.)
