How to donate to Pearson?

I'm having trouble figuring out how to donate a carcass to Pearson. The game gave a tip at the top left that I can do so but I can't figure out how, he just gives a basic greeting. Based on some googling i'm thinking that perhaps (despite the game saying otherwise) that ability isn't unlocked yet (I just did the deer hunting mission). If so can anyone tell me when it becomes available? I just did some hunting and want to drop off the goods before they go bad.

Pearson needs to be at his cooking area in order to donate. When you see him there interact with him and you should see the donate option available.

He's at his place cooking but all I can do is greet him.

It's been a long time for me so I don't quite recall but maybe holding or clicking the RMB in front of Pearson may bring up a menu. I really can't remember.

Here's a tip for you.

Don't spend time looking for three star animals for the camp unless they're specifically required for an upgrade in the camp that you want.

The camp is not interested in one star meat or three star meat, there's no such thing.

When talking of a three star animal we're talking of its unblemished hide or skin, not its meat.

All animals delivered to camp will receive exactly the same honour bonus regardless of the quality of the animal pelt and its meat.

You have to walk up to Pearson's donation table to donate, not directly to him. As long as the hunted animal(s) are on your horse and your horse is at camp you'll be able to donate them.

Thanks for the comments. As I suspected I just wasn't far enough into the game yet. I'm now out of the snow region and can donate things. I don't know why the tutorial tip came up when donations weren't actually possible yet.
