Question regarding solo lobby
I want to properly try online out in my private lobby. I did play it once and in the first mission I had to wait for another player to join me or something like that. I quit then since I didn't feel like connecting. If I am in my own proper lobby, what will happen? Will the game see that there's no other players and I can proceed with the mission by myself?

Those specific "story" missions need minimum 2 players to start regardless.

In my experience, no. It will sit there searching for a couple of minutes then tell you that matchmaking failed and to try again. You can't circumvent the RDO ♥♥♥♥ Show that is playing on public.

Just do the first ( 1 or 2 , I don't remember) missions with others (required). After that you can go on in your private lobby.

No, as others have already said. If you are the only one in your lobby you won't be able to do any of the co-op missions. Even if you have friends in your lobby the matchmaker is buggy and won't always work.
I did one of the 2 person missions in public recently and had a good run, ticked that box and moved on.

So multiplayer is only needed for the two first story missions? Can I do strangers missions and Roles alone?

The only stuff that requires other players is Story missions and competitive events, any of the Roles and Freeroam stuff is available in solo sessions.
