How to Launch without needing Rockstar Games Launcher?

So, I´m running low on Space and wanted to ask if I have to have the Rockstar Games Launcher to actually Launch the game or if there was any workaround or something like that

You can't run RDR2 without the Rockstar Launcher

R* launcher/social club install folders (minus duplicate /redistributables folder) is around 380mb. There is no legit... bypass the launcher unless you explore the -launchdirectly (if it still works) and the -scofflineonly command (dealing with drm authorization), deleting large quantities of the launcher/social club (after install and leaving the .exe) - and jumping through these hoops after every launcher update.

I'd just make some space, somehow.

you can't, from Steam or Epic it will launch R* launcher so better buy the game from R* store itself because there is no escape.

have the same problem , i contacted the rockstar support and they keep asking me the date i linked the steam and rockstar account , it was 10 years or more , i told i cant remember and the didn't solve it. so i asked for refund

They asked me the same thing, and since I couldn't possibly answer, they told me they couldn't verify it was my account. That was that. They considered the issue solved.

lol I had the same issue this week. Its ridiculous...

Yup, just refunded for the 5th and last time (takes 12 minutes just to reach the error screen). So my refund window ran out. Can't try again. Maybe in a few years, when there's a legitimate (virus free) bypass for the launcher I will try again.

Side Note: I know there are bypass executables available now, but I'm not stupid enough to launch an unknown executable from a torrent site on my computer. I'll just wait for the DRM to be dropped.

Why you don't buy it from Rockstar store? I never had issue with it

I'm not very familiar with Rockstar games or their launcher mess, but it appears to me that it has something to do with an old account (from an old computer). I don't know. In any case it's an issue with the launcher account and therefore wouldn't work.

However, you have provided a helpful solution. I will get their launcher, log in, and try to figure out what the account nonsense is all about. And I won't have to worry about refund time limits.

So, I'm afraid it didn't work. Changed and updated everything on Launcher, but still gives the message "Your Social Club account is not entitled to Red Dead Redemption 2....". I don't even know what social club is? More useless garbage?

I did notice in the corner before the error it said something like 'dgwtghrtd' has logged in. Then the Activation Error. This looks like at some point (years ago) I rushed through the launcher crap to play the game (on a different computer) and now the DRM is saying "you're not playing on the computer we registered the game to. You are not entitled to play it." But... here's the kicker, I must have received the same error the first time around as well, otherwise I wouldn't refunded it. right?

As stated before, I'll refund and wait for a safe bypass to come along.

Your Socialclub is your Rockstar profile.

Yes its a mess, and if your Steam is linked to one Socialclub account then you can't use any other Socialclub, creating a new one will not fix the problem.

The only solution is to recover your Socialclub, if you remember your email you can do it.
