Chapter two: no missions to do anymore?

No main missions, no side missions. Do I need to do something as nowhere is a sign of a new 'quest' spotted.
Camp is always hungry: food stays gray, despite giving them food I hunted.
Any idea on how to proceed?

also keeping up with camp needs is not very important, but if you want to do it anyway you have to restock it in the ledger for 40$ I think. But if you not far enough in the story you cant use the ledger yet

What is the title of your last save? Have you placed the debtor's debt into the contribution box by Dutch's tent?

r u saying there are no white or yellow spots on your map - none at all ? in Story mode ?

this really implies that you are in the middle of a mission. did you lose track ? usually the quest will auto fail if you travel out of bounds

the final main quest set of missions in Chapter 2 starts with John gathering sheep, in Valentine - once started, Arthur is pushed through to completion of Chapter 2.

there are two secondary quest lines that can be done or ignored in Chapter 2 - the one with Mary and the one with Micah.

it is possible to hang up the game by starting and then not finishing these secondary quests

other than that, check a walkthrough and figure out what would be next, and try to force it.

I have only one yellow button ("JE") left, but that's in Blackberry and if I go there, you get flooded by a horde of bounty hunters or lawmen who shoot you (as it's 'wanted dead or alive').

Yes, I already did the debtors quest which ended after you beat up the old sick man (poor guy) + placed the money in the contribution box.
I haven't done the sheep thing yet.

I regularly talk to the camp members (trying to trigger for example the mission where Arthur goes fishing with Jack, but Abigail is having none of it: always the same answer that "the boy is doing fine"...)

Currently I'm taking care of the camp: they have a lot of cash, also medical supplies (ledger is available) and ammo. But I can't buy everything from the ledger: the more luxurious tent for Dutch for example: can't purchase it for some reason (money is no issue).
+ how many food is needed, my icon always stays grey, while ammo and medicin are yellow.

Latest thing I did was freeing Micah and a bounty quest (side quest?) with a black guy in a mineshaft.

You need to do that last mission, that's the issue keeping you from advancing. Even though it's shut down around Blackwater, you can still sneak in along the river to the mission area, and meet up with Javier near the yellow marked area, once you finish that mission, you'll be able to move on . . . good luck ;)

Do you know if the game chooses which mission you can and can't play or is it perhaps timed (if you show up too late in the game at a certain point, the mission is gone?) Any ideas?

There are side missions that you can miss and not get back to once you leave a chapter and move on, but all the main missions have to be done before you can end a chapter. Some main missions can be done in any order, but others won't trigger until you complete a specific mission first.
