Goodbye old friend buggy

Anyone experiencing a bug on this mission? I can’t get past the mission. The game gets buggy in different ways but basically loses ability to pause and the story gets disconnected from gameplay and Arthur just stands around unable to interact with npcs or anything. Really frustrating. Verified integrity of game files already. Updated all drivers. Have a very capable rig so it’s not a performance limitation. Really blows. Anyone have a magic cure?

No mods. I don’t know which I’m using Vulcan or dx12…haven’t checked. Which is optimized for the game?

vulkan's better, best to try both for the mission tho

You've hit my limitation on computer knowledge. How do I "record a bug"? Like, record the game play when it occurs? If so, I can probably swing that with the help of my kid.

And...how do I toggle between vulcan or DX12? Through steam? The game lanucher from rockstar doesn't seem to have an option. or is it in windows settings...

its in the game's settings - graphics, scroll down until u see "advanced graphics"
u should see "graphics api"
switch it to dx12 if its already vulkan, if its vulkan then try dx12
(dont use the restart button the game gives u, just press yes quit the game and start it again. restart button sucks from my experience, it might also default ur other graphics settings)
try the mission again and see if the bug happens

It’s villain. Always was. This game is breaking my. It’s the best game I’ve ever played. It’s incredible. And it’s unplayable. If there’s a fix to any of this, please speak up.

well if none of that worked, i guess u have 2 final options
verifying the game files and contacting rockstar support
