reinforced lasso problem

i have this problem where i bought the reinforced lasso and for some reason i cant use it in legendary bounty missions in free roam i have it but is this meant to be or a glitch

I had issues with that too for long time.
Go onto your Horse, equip the reinforced lasso, then right click that to set as default.

If you some how switch to the regular lasso and get off your horse or enter a mission; you'll be unable to equip/use the reinforced lasso.

Rockstar should have been a little smarter about it and have the reinforced lasso replace the old one, like Improved Bow replaces the regular Bow; can't have both of those, ever.
