I like rdr2 but I'd put all of those games above it for one reason or several.
wall of text incoming
imo rdr2 is better. played cyberpunk 2077 over a year ago and never got an itch to revisit it, even for the phantom liberty dlc. It's pretty and the bugs are less annoying than rdr2 but the gameplay seemed super generic and the story was forgettable and too r/im14andthisisdeep for me. Shovelware is a word that comes to mind. The only characters I thought were mildly interesting in the entire game were Johnny who felt like he was written by a 19year old cringelord political youtuber, and takemura. Jackie Welles and the car ai guy would be a great but, you know.
I think as far as AAA games I've played in the past few years, 2077 is at the bottom of the list for me as far as story, and somewhere above rdr2 for controllability, although the gameplay itself (missions, side quests, screwing around) was super lacking in 2077 compared to rdr2. So It's a weird game to me. Graphics are amazing tho, and one day i might fire it up just to see how cool it looks again. It's way better looking than rdr2 at least.
Horizon Zero Dawn, control wise, is much more fluid and enjoyable than rdr2. Looks pretty for the most part, the story isn't as good and most of the sidequests are utter trash designed to get the hours played up and not much else of value. Has the same problem 2077 has with characters. I don't care about any of the one's that survive, except the Sylens and that guy in red armor that pops up every now and then. The story isn't quite as good as rdr2, but it's better than 2077's story, gameplay, and control wise. Not nearly as pretty. Sometimes I do get the itch to replay it but then I just play something else in my library.
One game I need to play more is death stranding. The original version looks better than rdr2, but the gameplay is, something I have trouble getting into. Controls were less clunky for the 20 hours or so I screwed around in it, and the story is engrossing, might even be better than rdr2 if I can ever get the motivation to keep playing it. There's only so much ups simulator I can tolerate before it feels like a lost cause.
I was thinking I’d call-out Project Zomboid. Hard to say if it’s better than Red Dead Redemption 2, but it’s certainly provided me and my friends with more hours of entertainment! XD
We’re talking about the singleplayer RDR2 experience, right? lol, because the multiplayer RDR2 experience on PC is awful; it’s just a playground for cheaters. :P
It's an opinion here, but after studying your list for some time, i can say with ease, not one game mentioned above comes close. I mean, rd1? i guess? All the rest, little shocked. I'm trying here, uh Zelda perhaps? nope...not close. Well wait maybe Metroid 3. Uh uh. no dice.
It's confirmed, RDR2, best SP game ever made. :)
Cruelty squad is also better than rdr2.
