Peeps will tell you that you should not defrag SSD's.
If you're using SSDs you should never need to do that.
Should be no reason to disable Windows Defender or Windows Firewall.
That sounds like you maybe you had Windows Network set to Public (which is the default) you need to change it to Private, as this dictates which Firewall Rules are applied.
For Defender, some users simply have it setup too strict. It shouldn't be scanning folders where you install a game client, such as the Steam folder. Otherwise it's going to be constantly scanning that no good reason.
While you can turn off Defender, it will turn itself back on after a while without asking. So the best bet is ensure nothing too strict is configured for that, and if needed, configure Exclusions to exclude folders such as Rockstar Games stuff as well as Steam and SteamLibrary if you have that on another drive.
But I use the Defrag at least once a month and have been doing so for years with my SSD's. Should it ever catches up with me, I'll just buy a new one, cheers.
It's of course going to do that as there are no saved games available so it starts a new game.
Did you have saved games from a prior playthrough?
What are you trying to do exactly?

Ahhhhh ok that made sense , no the game is to good i starting al over , i went from a I74770k to a I7 13700k with ddr5 and RTX 4070 so its running better anyway , time fore a new adventure haha
I had a laptop with a video card but it defaulted to running stuff automatically from the on board (on the motherboard video card which usual is lousy) so I had to do something so it ran games using the video card that is a separate piece of hardware attached to the mother board ..
Regarding saved files ... you can back up saves and supposedly copy them back into the proper directory and see them again ..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnWWhktZMTM
the problem with this video is that it doesn't mention things such as if you copy a saved file backinto the directory will it overwrite stuff because it seems there are a fixed number of save slots so each save that you back up and store to another folder somewhere on your pc may be dedicated to a specific slot ..
Anyway, I do a save as soon as I get to Horseshoe overlook and I NEVER overwrite this save so If I do a redo I start here rather than plodding through the first "tutorial missions" and I actually do another save or two that I NEVER overwrite which is the first missions you do in valentine and getting the stables open and going with hosea on the bear hunt to get the crate for the fire ..
then what I do is I dedicate 3 save slots and each time I save I overwrite the bottom slot of the 3 slots in a row which may show something such as
who is without sin and the jargon next to it then
who is without sin more jargon then
who is without sin .. so when I save the game again I overwrite the bottom one which actually puts it at the top if ya do a reload.
This means when I overwrite the bottom one and it puts it at the top then this means the 2nd save in the list of the 3 saves the 2nd save is the 2nd most recent save and the one at the bottom is the oldest save ... the other saves under this eventually become very old saves they are when I first go to Horseshoe outlook and when I completed the Hosea mission of the bear hunt and also I usually do a save when the Fence opens up in Emerald having the wagon sell back thing ..
This is from the internet All RDR2 save files use the same naming format. Saves are named SRDR3####, where #### is the 4-digit save slot number used in the game minus one. So for example, slot 2 is SRDR30001.
