Any way to activate DEAD EYE WITHOUT AIMING on PC?

I use it to search for items but it's a waste of dead eye.

Eagle eye is for searching for animals and clues, dead eye is combat mode but it can only be activated while aiming, its fine for singleplayer mode but terrible for online, because many abilities it activates have nothing to do with aiming

You have to aim to activate dead eye sadly

You press down on the middle button (scroll wheel) while aiming
Not possible unless you are using eagle eye
