Mods will not get you banned as long as you use them only in singleplayer (well even online mods rarely get you banned, but don't do it as it spoils others fun).
I would recommend enhanced needs mod (it makes you need to eat, drink and pee), longer nights, buyable properties, Jobs enhanced (you can work for living in the game), bank mod (you put money in the bank and can get loans), open all interiors (you can enter locked buildings), seats (lets you sit in any seat on the map), smoking complete (allows you to walk around with cigarette or cigar in your mouth) and no invisible sniper (if you play as Arthur you can go to blackwater and new austin without an invisible boundary/sniper killing you).
I would also recommend Injury mod (it makes you gain injuries when hurt or shot), enable swimming (so you don't drown when swimming), drag npcs (if you're being bad, you can drag npcs across the floor by their head), crime law (so you can do certain crimes without ai police coming out of nowhere) and Why Em's DLC (Preferably Why Em's + EEEE merge).
(unless you all use some method to immediately see if mods work).
Glad to read your message too, steam forums are filled with backseat moderators who think to own the scene they comment and troll every single topic, moderators don't do nothing, and they trash talk and so on.. It s unbearable ♥♥♥♥ and Valve is responsible for Gaming becoming utter toxicity...
I hope to finally enjoy this game..
Yeah wont play online also because i would join other multiplayer xp than this one.
Can't stand 3' irl 1h in game speed of time.
Mods work but main thing is to always check to see what is required .. what files are needed to be installed (copied to the install folder)
It seems for example if you use a mod that changes the mechanics of weapons and you use another mod that does a lot of things but also one of the things it does is change mechanics of guns then you will or may have conflicts .. I have 7 mods installed ... 7 different ones with it seems no conflicts each mod though is basically completely different than the other one ..
They are:
Contracts - gives you side missions to do kind of like a blood mission in online play
Duels - You can do a duel with any npc that pisses you off
Gun Metal - Makes the guns look better if you think so worth a try
Jobs - Allows you to open a store or do this or that kind of like in online play have not done this yet but signs are in the world that give you options I have seen the signs so the mod is working
Less Money - Supposedly causes you to get less money not sure if it works have not done any money stuff yet ..
Main Horse Overhaul - The horses are no longer all the same this mod seems to work I notice horses in the world have different stats - I'm motivated now to just go get my own wild horse and use it when I find a good one
Rampage Trainer .. - This mod does 1,000 different things .. I only use it to keep my horse clean because the brush does not work - I will use the teleport feature at some point. I think this one will allow you to tweak the time thing so you get longer days ..
Regarding bugs and tweaking fixing seems a person is suppose to take a screen shot of their install folder and its files prior to installing any mods then install mods if you have problems then troubleshoot and isolate by painstakingly ... install one mod at a time and see if it works then install another one .. if you install one and you get crashes then more than likely the one you last installed is the problem.
At nexus mods it tells you what is required to run the mod which other mods etc. and how to install the mod files ..
This imo is one of the best videos on how to get started
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPNG9KxRpt8
But I have not looked for all of them .. Main thing I found also was make sure you copy the lml folder along with the files it says to copy ... when you do the lenny's thing or maybe it was the fishhook thing or something .. one video I saw said copy the files or drag the files and it was real quick but the dude drug files AND the lml folder which I initially missed...
some mods you simply copy two files to the install directory others you put some files into the lml folder others you copy a folder to the install folder or rd2 .. but they tell you what to do.
Most of the things in the first hours when I started worked... then I added new things or had no time to play.
I learn all the time how to make things work in a game modding scene.
This game for example doesn't need to have latest version of lml or ab script hook but instead I read in many places it is sometime suggested to use the previous versions, same with mods. Some people with the crucial Longer days (I have no idea how people can play this game without it... it's terrible the game without it) say in the recent comments to not use the last version but instead use the previous version (so not to update it)...
I will see... Anyway I really hope I will not have problems with missions as I heard one of the main issues is this one: when you go in some missions you are forced to repeat it infinitely as the game doesn't progress.
I read comments descriptions yeah... I am not the average player that wants a mod and tries to install without even knowing how the mod works.
Please.
Is this update possible to be prevented?
I will not play the game. Stupid me waiting all this time.
How come what you say is dated 1 year ago and nobody said anything about this in this topic here. And also in Nexus there seems to be no reference to this issue?
Maybe everyone has forgotten the game as they played it and now don't play it anymore so nobody wrote about it?
There seems to have been an update also now on the 19 th of march!
