I would have thought Arthur and Mary would have made a better couple.

I remember reading an interview where Rockstar said the campaign was originally going to be longer because of a romantic story arc. However, as the game got closer to release, this part of the narrative was cut.

I don’t know if it was removed for pacing reasons, or if the devs simply ran out of time before release.

Anyway, maybe there was a version of the game at one point where Arthur could hook-up with another character. :)
